Beaded beauties

Lanyards are tatted using 1,2 mm glass beads with single shuttle. I have tried to tat rings of 3 and 4 double stitches as per bead size. These rings are snugged in such a way that they resemble the consecutive real glass bead.
The Dark Blue and the red lanyards are tatted using 1mm beads with rings of 3ds and the Sky Blue 2mm beads with rings of 4ds.
This Black lanyard with white transparent glass beads is currently in progress. These are 1mm beads with rings of 3ds.

Wear them on to your spects.....

Hi all
Back again and sharing my new lanyard patterns with you. Earlier I posted patterns with split rings and beads in My Lanyards. When it was discovered that the Dot Picots can be tatted on bare thread, I tatted  laces on a single shuttle. The same method of stringing Dot Picots is used for spectacle strings, all tatted in Anchor thread no.20. You can zoom in on my working pics for a closer view.
Lanyard No 1
A Combination of Split Rings, Dot Picot String and crystal bead is used in this lanyard. The cocktail colour crystal goes well with lighter shade of the thread. As seen in close up pic below, the crystal bead is strung and dot picot strings are tatted individually on each shuttle in between two split rings alternatively.
Lanyard 2
A dark purple thread with white crystal used in this lanyard. The crystal strung in middle of the Dot Picot Strings gives a different design pattern.
Lanyard No 3
Here the variation is in beads too.  Two tiny maroon beads on both sides of each golden bugle bead are arranged to avoid the latter from cutting through the thread. Small split rings of 2/2 ds tatted on either side of beads and Dot Picot strings.
Lanyard No 4
Yellow transparent big beads contrasting with thread color blue. Dot Picot Strings are followed by the bead and split ring.

Dot picots in tatting are very convenient to use anywhere and in any application. Why not try them now?

Happy Tatting........

My Lanyards continued...............2

Hello all,
I am using different combinations of beads and threads to continue tatting lanyards. These patterns can be used for necklaces, chokers, bracelets, anklets etc. I have made some patterns without using beads for decorating envelopes too. You will see them in my blogs later.
Happy to announce that I have joined 25 Motif Challenge by Sharon.
This is the link to see my posts at My Challenges
Currently I have tatted all lanyards for eyeglasses. As some patterns of lanyard are same, I have mentioned appropriate links to patterns for your convenience.
Here are my new lanyards .........
 Lanyard 7
All are simple split rings made with sky blue Anchor thread tkt 20. I have used tiny shiny white beads n big blue bead in between them giving sparkling look to the lanyard.
Tiny white beads are strung in each of Shuttle 1 and Shuttle 2. This close up will show you SR 8/8, SLT. Push one white bead from each shuttle n again make SLT.  Add bigger blue bead as shown in this link by Jane Eborall - Add bead lazy way , again one SLT, one white bead from each shuttle and continue next split ring.
                     Lanyard 8
A Very decent combination of Grey Achor 20 number thread with golden bugle beads and black seed beads. The golden bugle beads are to be strung in both the Shuttles. Method of adding beads can be found here:Lanyard 4
                  Lanyard 9
This lanyard too same as Lanyard 6  in my earlier post but the placement, shape n color of beads vary. The white shiny beads are strung in both shuttles before working.

I hope you all will enjoy working on these patterns.
Will be posting my other work soon.....
Any querries or suggestions about any of my posts are always welcome.
I value your comments too.
Happy Tatting to you all.

My Lanyards continued..........1

Hope you enjoyed my creations.
There are endless possibilities with thread colour and beads of different varieties and their placement. Some more designs n combos are in my mind.
Hope I can make them soon.

Now the remaining three i.e. Lanyard 4,5 and 6 of previous blog are here...
            Lanyard 4
Simple split rings in light purple thread with brown bugle beads
and pearls give a stunning combination.
Lanyard 4 work in progress, a closer look
            Lanyard 5
This Lanyard also has split rings with bugle beads n crystal beads in
between two rings. Dark blue and transparent white combination
gives very attractive look. Sorry, no work in progress pic for this one.

           Lanyard 6
Wonderful combo of pink n shiny white beads on both halves of
split ring and little bigger crystal bead in between the rings.
Above image is close of Lanyard 6 work in progress

Some more lanyards in the making.
Looking forward to your comments n suggestions............
On request, I am adding a close-up of the 3rd lanyard in previous post.

My Lanyards

Hi !!! Back after long time. Been busy making lanyards with split rings for eyeglasses. Enjoyed using different kinds of beads and creating something new. You can see black or white findings attached at each the end of the lanyards.
Click on the image above and you can see all different varieties I made.
Showing below how I have used each lanyard for spectacles.
           Lanyard 1
Made with simple split rings and three SLTs (Shoe Lace Knots) in between two rings.

            Lanyard 2
In this variation, the braid has 3 parts- the two end segments with bugle beads strung on both shuttles, and the central portion with large round beads.
Further, the end segments have one SR alternating with two adjacent half closed rings (HCR) , one each made with 2 shuttles. The bugle bead , placed on core thread, covers the bare thread space when the ring is closed, creating a lovely half moon shape.
Middle part is made up of SRs only, using the technique of bead in center of SR by two smaller SRs.

The above image is taken while working on the pattern.
Just to give close up of HCRs and beads
               Lanyard 3
Simple split rings with beads in between the two makes a great pattern.
I loved this Grey, black n shiney white combination.
This was my work in progress now inserted for close up.

Will be posting other three lanyards in top pic tomorrow.
Kindly mail me in case you need detailed working of any one of these.
Happy Tatting till then ...........
